The Peacebuilding Evaluation Consortium

The EIAP is a project of the Peacebuilding Evaluation Consortium (PEC), a unique initiative that convenes donors, scholars, policymakers, local and international practitioners, and evaluation experts to address field-wide obstacles in evaluation peacebuilding programs. With funding from the Carnegie Corporation of New York and GHR Foundation, the PEC seeks to address such obstacles through three strategically-linked goals, providing a holistic and multi-pronged approach to field-wide learning: 1) developing methodological rigor; 2) improving the culture of transparency and learnings; and 3) fostering the use of evidence to inform peacebuilding policy. The PEC is composed of the Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP), CDA Collaborative Learning, Mercy Corps, and Search for Common Ground (SFCG). Each organization brings specific expertise in the development and application of new evaluation tools. DME for Peace, a project of SFCG and host of the EIAP Page, is a global community of practitioners, evaluators, and academics committed to sharing best and emerging practices on how to design, monitor, and evaluate peacebuilding programs.
