For the past twenty-five years I have been working in the fields of conflict prevention, transformation, peace building, and Democratic Dialogue in Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. During the past 10 years, I have also focused more specificially on program DME--from a "theories of change" perspective--in peace, conflict and development fields. My experience has included working with heads of state and corporate executives as well as leaders of communities and indigenous groups, and a variety of civil-society and governmental organizations, from local to international.
Since 2005, I have worked as a senior consultant for different UN agencies and have also been supporting other international organizations and global initiatives in capacity building as well as in the design and implementation of multi-stakeholder dialogue and change processes. Most recently, I have worked in Afghanistan supporting the UN Assistance Mission (UNAMA), collaborating with the US State Department African and Middle East Desk of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement, and continue to work in Somalia offering direct support to the President, Prime Minister and top leadership of the newly elected government.
I co-authored with Bettye Pruitt Democratic Dialogue: A Handbook for Practitioners (2007), a joint publication of the UNDP, OAS, CIDA and International IDEA.
