Profile Summary

A Senior Evaluation and Project Management Professional with extensive experience in Development Aid Evaluation. Field experience in Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Israel, the Occupied Palestinian Territory (oPT) has included several HIV/Aids, education, health, agricultural, food security, gender, water and sanitation projects. His evaluation, training and project monitoring works are drawn from his technical expertise in Project Management, Organisational Capacity Assessment (OCA), Impact Assessment, Socio-economic Baseline Survey, Qualitative and Quantitative research, & Data Quality Assessment (DQA) areas.

Led and successfully managed international consultancy assignments related to establishing M&E systems, developing strategic plans for FAO – Southern Sudan Productive Capacity Recovery Program in Ministries of Agriculture & Forestry, Animal Resources & Fisheries. Similarly, successfully accomplished the Evaluation of the African Development Bank lending policy (Integrated Safeguard System) vis –a- vis the Development Issues of Indigenous People in Africa. Participated in the Global evaluation of UNDP’s support for the achievements of millennium development goals (MDGF) implemented in 50 countries (done the evaluation of Turkey, China and Albania programs). Conducted a cost-benefit analysis on legal aid service to the oPT and produced a comprehensive analytical report which made up of the general research on the Cost of forced displacement in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. Led and successfully managed a consultancy assignment on Data Quality Verification (DVT) of USAID/PEPFAR’s OVC program implemented by seven prime partners (Pact-Ethiopia, ChildFund, OSSA, IOCC, RETRACT & Mary Joy) as well as 29 sub-grantees. Led and managed the Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) process and produced quality report document on the seven HIV program implementers/subcontractors of I-TECH Ethiopia & Washington State University.

Extensive experience in working with various programs and donors such as AfDB, UNDP, NRC, I-TECH Ethiopia, DCA, SIDA, USAID, FAO, USTDA, WB, UNICEF, DCI, DED, Save the Children Norway, Pact-Ethiopia and Kindernotelhge/Save the Children Germany.
